Hi my name is Di.
I have been training in martial arts since I was 39 years old - I often regret not finding martial arts earlier but that is part of my journey.
Surprisingly, I am also a shy introvert. However, I have always tried to be capable, fit, challenged and not limited in what I could attempt. 
My training has become a springboard for personal growth and reconnecting with my true self which has given my life new purpose and meaning.

 I have become more positive and confident in dealing with conflict and issues in my professional life. 

I have been able to use the courage and self-confidence I have developed to overcome traumatic situations and move towards positivity, clarity and purpose.

I have become more calm and centered in my approach to the problems that everyday life can bring.

I have actually surprised myself in become a more outgoing person through my desire to give back and share what I have learned with others.
If someone had told me 20 years ago I would become a black belt and teach martial arts I would have told them they were totally crazy. 
I am now a martial arts instructor and currently in training to become a 2nd degree black belt later this year at the age of 53.

I am living proof that there are no limitations to what you can achieve and that age is no barrier.
I am excited you are here and I look forward to getting to know you.
